SpESIIRoids

SpESIIRoids is an Open Source Twin Stick space shooter where you must survive hordes of alien spacecrafts in order to reach freedom, glory, and fame. Or just to beat the game. That too.

But don't get comfortable too fast! After the first few levels, things will start to escalate and you'll be soon struggling to stay alive. 

May the force of Chiquito be with you.

Controls

Keyboard with Mouse

• Use W, A, S, D or the arrow keys to move the spaceship, and the mouse left click to shoot the enemies.
• Use the numeric keys 1, 2, 3 and 4 to activate power ups.

Gamepad

• Use the left stick to move the spaceship, and the right stick to shoot and control the direction of the bullets.
• Use A, B, X, Y buttons (Switch / Xbox controller) or the equivalent ones to activate power ups.

Power Ups

Use the power ups wisely. Each one has a purpose and is best suited for certain situations... but you'll just spam the s*** out of them, won't you?

Chiquito

Master of comedy, genious of humor, titan of happiness... Let Mr Chiquito de la Calzada protect you for a few seconds with an impenetrable shield of jokes that will make enemies unable to reach you.

Vicentín

I can't figure how Vicentín is able to party for that long every single weekend. Maybe the Chimo Bayo tunes? Don't know, don't want to. Use his small pills to get a boost of energy for a few seconds and a blip of invulnerability. Siempre a tope.

Mr T

No words needed. Use Mr T's huge fireballs to erase your enemies. Doesn't matter how many are coming towards you. Heat them up.

TerESIIca

She's the mascot of Albacete's ESII. Pretty stylish for a keyboard's key, right? Bait enemy ships to chase her while you get rid of them peacefully from afar.

Version Details

For the first version, I wanted to keep it as close to the original XNA game as possible. That means resolution will suffer a bit on fullscreen mode. I plan to fix that in the upcoming 1.1 release.
